With over two decades at the forefront of IT security leadership, Lee Eng Hai steers Smarter Computer Sdn Bhd—Malaysia’s only GTIA ASEAN Executive Council member and an ISO 27001–certified cybersecurity provider—toward its vision of becoming the region’s premier one-stop information technology service partner. As a Certified Cyber Endpoint Security Engineer, he combines deep technical expertise with a strategic outlook, ensuring that both multinational conglomerates and lean SMEs benefit from proactive, end-to-end protection against today’s most advanced threats.

In his dual role as GTIA ASEAN Cyber Security Group Chairman, Lee has championed cross-border collaboration on threat intelligence, forging partnerships across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippine, and Vietnam. Under his leadership, Smarter Computer has rolled out tailored cybersecurity frameworks, incident-response protocols, and managed-security services that adapt to each client’s growth trajectory and risk profile.

A strong believer in continuous professional development, Lee invests heavily in upskilling his teams—implementing regular certification programs, hands-on penetration testing exercises, and client-focused tabletop simulations. His commitment to operational excellence is mirrored by his mission to add value through prompt, reliable service and by fostering a safe, inclusive workplace where talent thrives.

Emphasizing on digitalization, simplicity, efficiency, Lee lead Smarter Computer to develop own Service Management System, SSMS, since past 6 years, which replaced Whatsapp, as main service communication platform with customer, far overtake the trend of the market.

Driven by a passion for innovation, Lee Eng Hai is focused on expanding Smarter Computer’s regional footprint, integrating emerging technologies such as AI-powered threat hunting and zero-trust architectures into the company’s core offerings—keeping customers ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.
